Home at last! What a glorious day! Our Director of Music Sarah was a beautiful bride and Blake looked as handsome and happy as ever. (see their picture on our website www.IndianaAnglican.com) It was one of my favorite weddings ever. We had such a great time with such great people!
But it is good to be home. Only Deacon Dan and I are in town to cover the Churches tomorrow and I have Westfield and Anderson. I have everything ready to go, but have decided to not write a sermon, and attempt it instead extemporaneously. That is a big step for me, but I delivered my homily today at the wedding without notes today and did fine. The lessons tomorrow are quite familiar too. So I will either be fine or a goat. Sarah has decided to go on her honeymoon and not play tomorrow, so I best not be the goat!! People are far happier when she plays!
Amanda and Steph bagged us and went to the movies and Scotty and Ben played in the tent for a while and about a half hour ago snuck up to Scott’s room, which Ben also thinks is his. Okay Ben is two and thinks everything is his. But when his brother is around he just wants to be there. They are pretty tight. He has Steph eating out of the palm of his hand, but Scott is his wrestling buddy and general trouble partner. They are in hog-heaven when they are together, which incidentally is just an expression…..even in Arkansas where the Razorback is worshipped in parts of my family.
Anyway, I am tired, punchy and a bit giddy. With only the cat to talk to I suppose it doesn’t matter, but to be of any good tomorrow I best go to bed.
But it truly has been a glorious day. Congratulations Blake and Sarah! (now Mr. and Mrs. Sampson!) We love you both and a so very happy for you! Enjoy Canada, but not too much! We want you coming home soon.
Goodnight my friends and God Bless.
