Perhaps he will be an architect, I do not know, but this is a model of our house in “thistle-blocks” although it is not built to scale.  It was the product of many minutes of work by Ben and his assistant, “Mommy.”  At least he still calls her that…..half the time now he says to me, “Hey DUDE.”

But the house is quite impressive.  It actually shows a great deal of observation from our young architect, and he was really quite proud to show me all its features.

Yet it reminds me of Steph and Scott growing up, and how I always wondered and guessed what they would be.  US Marine wasn’t on my radar at that age for Scott, but I am guessing he will make a career out of it.  Steph, although always quite the egghead, was always a vet in both my mind AND HERS, yet gave that idea up some time ago.  Now she plays lacrosse for Lindenwood all over the country and in her spare time majors in Biochemistry and Mathematics.  I could make some guesses, but I think I will just wait to see where she lands.

In terms of Ben though I can say that the architect idea is really far more palatable than that of superhero, because with the latter, I am not sure where he would apply.

But for now we will just sit back and enjoy the ride.  Our house is nice, but not as personal to us as the model.  But both are home.

We have pretty great kids, and we are ALWAYS thankful for them.
